The one with the concert report

Sorry about the delay for the promised concert report, but now I’ve finally managed to resize the pics and do all the other stuff that was necessary to present you all that what you’re about to see and hear in this entry... :-)

But first of all let me tell you how great that evening was! Everything was just perfect:
Beautiful Paris, good support act (Butterfly Boucher), and then Sarah! Her voice, her performance, her connection with the audience,… It was just amazing, wonderful, [pick the strongest adjective in this category from your thesaurus and it’ll still be far away from the real experience],…

This was her setlist (at least I think so):
(last dance)
fallen
world on fire (live recording; mp3, 1.79 MB)
adia (live recording; mp3, 1.75 MB)
intro>hold on
perfect girl>drifting
push
answer
wait
witness
fear>trainwreck
building a mystery
sweet surrender
possession
--------------------------
ice cream
silence
stupid
fumbling towards ecstasy
------------------------------
angel

After the first encore the lights already went on and many people stood up and went, but then Sarah eventually came back and played "Angel" (just her voice and her on the piano). And although many people were standing around (cause they already wanted to leave), suddenly everyone in the audience became so quiet you could have heard a pin drop. It was kind of a devotional silence. It was just… wow!

So here are some pictures:

So when the concert was really over (after "Angel") I tried to get to the stage as fast as I could (I was sitting upstairs) to catch a setlist but by the time I arrived there all the setlists were gone (the setlist I showed you above is actually a setlist that was identical at three previous concerts in Europe and I couldn't find any variations).
After that I made my way out of the building and decided to have a quick look at the artists entry/exit. Unfortunately it was already quite late (about 11:30 pm) and I had just about half an hour left till my last train home. And as I knew from my previous concerts artists take their time after a concert and it takes them generally about an hour before they leave the location. So I decided that it wasn't worth waiting those 30 minutes guessing that I won't see Sarah anyway. But before I could leave there were people getting out of there. And one of them was the beautiful French singer Nolwenn Leroy. Good thing I still had my digicam with me. :-)

After that I took off to the metro station and on my way I took those pictures of the famous shops "Printemps" and "Galeries Lafayette".

So that was my perfect Tuesday night! :-)
